About the role:
As a Market Advisor, you will work within the Market & Operations section, reporting directly to the Market Deputy & Market Integration Manager. The team is composed of skilled internal and external professionals and is looking for a new member who is an expert in capacity calculation and flow-based methodology.
In this role, you will play a critical part in implementing European guidelines for Capacity Allocation and Congestion Management (CACM) and Forward Capacity Allocation (FCA). Your work will involve significant contributions to market guidelines, effective coordination across various regions, and active participation in high-level committee meetings, fostering collaboration with a wide array of European stakeholders.
This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work with office presence to support a good work-life balance. Occasional travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the implementation of CACM and FCA Guidelines across Europe, focusing on both Europe-wide and regional requirements.
- Support and coordinate Capacity Calculation Regions (CCR) in adhering to market guidelines.
- Monitor and report on pan-European and regional implementation projects where the organization holds an observer role.
- Engage with European regulators, the European Commission, and other stakeholders to provide information on market guidelines and their implementation.
- Prepare for Market Committee meetings, including drafting agendas, session files, presentations, decisions, and minutes.
- Assist with day-to-day operations within the Market Section, particularly in relation to the functioning of the Market Committee and its working groups.
Candidate Profile:
- Post-graduate degree in information technology, economics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant work experience, preferably in the Transmission System Operator (TSO) business.
- Expertise in the energy sector, particularly in European electricity market integration, market design, congestion management, and renewable energy integration.
- Knowledge of flow-based capacity calculation is highly desirable.
- Experience with mathematical optimization is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
- Results-oriented, team-player with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
